From Bluebirds to Red Dragons

News reaches Journeyman Towers that Cardiff City are to be changing their club colours...

They are not happy!
The clubs Malaysian owners are to putting £100 Million in to the club on one condition - They change their colours to RED and their crest to a Dragon. This is ludicrous. Everybody knows that Cardiff is Blue and Swansea are white. It's the Bluebirds and the Swans for goodness sake.

The owners are willing to invest large sums of money to increase the transfer budget, improve training facilities and make lego land (sorry the Cardiff City Stadium) bigger.

Cardiff will play in red shirts, black shorts and red stockings, with a dragon crest. The away outfit will be all blue. This all coming a week after Swansea announce their new red away strip...

The owners believe that red is a more dynamic colour for marketing in Asia (They are no Man Utd though are they?). They also believe that red is significant in Wales.

We all know about Mr Ashley and the Sports Direct Arena farce but to mess with the history and the proud heritage of a club like Cardiff is shocking.

More proof that money is ruining the beautiful game.

  1. I think I would rather play in the EPL and not choose my colours, seems like a small sacrifice to me for that amount of money.
